Campy’s Eurus 700c clincher Rear wheel is 30mm deep. By keeping the rear at a higher 30mm profile Campy was able to attain significant aerodynamic advantages. The piece de resistance is no doubt the rear wheel. Utilizing the same G3 spoke pattern found on the fabulous Campy Bora rear wheel the significant advantages over traditional spoke patterns are superior lateral stiffness and increased pedal power. Which makes sense really since doubling of the spokes on the drive train side (right side) helps offset the losses incurred by nasty wheel-dish. Another unique advantage to this G3 spoke pattern is that spoke tension can be lessoned and lighter spokes and rim sections can be used making for a better balanced and long lasting wheel. Campy’s spokes use Ultra Aero bladed butted aluminum (21 rear) spokes. Record-quality HPW hub with an oversized aluminum hub shell with aluminum axle and self-aligned bearing. The rear right-hand hub uses oversized flanges for further increased flex resistance. The rear wheel comes with Aluminum Quick Release Dual-pivot Skewer / Lever and Wheel Bag. Campagnolo 9 and 10 speed compatible or Shimano® HG 10 speed compatible only. 745 grams rear tubular 775 grams rear clincher.
