Product Description

The Conquest Pro SS serves up aggressive race-ready performance without over-complication. Redline's single speed specific frame is made from R6 Aluminum Alloy to keep the weight low, durability high and price within the reach of any rider. Aggressive off-road geometry provides an ideal blend of stability and speed over dicey terrain, along with plenty of mud clearance in loose course conditions. Single-speed specific stainless steel dropouts provide additional strength and are spaced 130mm for compatibility with industry leading road hubs or road-spaced single speed/track hubs.

The CT Carbon fork features an alloy steerer for the best blend of vibration dampening, strength and affordability. The crown is drilled to accept a fork mounted cable stop (or fender) and the steerer tube is standard 1-1/8 inch threadless. Both the frame and fork accept cantilever or mini V-brakes. Rack/fender eyelets and bottle cages bosses provide a little extra functionality off the course as well.

KEY FEATURES:

  • 1-1/8" threadless steerer tube
  • 130mm single-speed dropouts
  • For use with cantilever or short arm V-brakes
  • Takes a 27.2mm seatpost
  • Standard 68mm English bottom bracket
  • Fender/rack eyelets
  • Bottle cage bosses
  • Pearl white with red logos

Note: The frame requires a 31.8mm seatpost collar, which is not included.

Cyclocross Magazine took a look at Kari Studley’s Nationals-winning Redline Conquest Pro Single right after her race. Redline’s singlespeed-specific Conquest Pro SS frame is made from R6 Alloy, a material choice that keeps the price and weight reasonable. The Conquest Pro SS features a CT Carbon fork with an alloy steerer.

Studley is the first to win a National Championship on Challenge’s new Team Edition tubular casing. The Team Edition tubulars from Challenge are made from an all-cotton casing, said to give them a superior ride quality due to their very supple casing that’s similar to Dugast tires.

“I knew it would come down to the hills, and I wanted to ride the hills.” The strategy paid off, as Studley recalls, “Coming up the first hill,  I was in second spot, the girl started running, and I just rode it.”

The rest of the bikes is no frills, with a SRAM Rival crankset, and Crank Brothers Eggbeater pedals. Kore’s wide-profile Race+ cantilever brakes are Studley’s stopper of choice and match to the overall color scheme of the bike, and are listed at just 129g per wheel. For the muddy conditions, the wide-profile design certainly helps provide lots of pad and mud clearance.

  1. A great commuter or non-race cyclocross training bike

Posted by kenzo on 8th Feb 2016

Great frame set: well constructed, inexpensive, easy to set up, stiff/compliant enough for some off road fun, also makes a great commuter esp for foul weather. What is not to like? It is NOT a cutting edge race frame obviously, but for anything short of full on racing you have to love its versatility and durability.

  2. Versitile frame set

Posted by Dave J on 9th Oct 2014

Great frame for sscx season and off season fixie riding. Horizonal drops are what set this frame apart from most others
