Some of the great Belgian cycling stories have humble beginnings. The athletes, the races, they all had to start somewhere on their paths to glory. So it is with a great Belgian bike brand. Ridley started quietly in 1990, subcontracting custom made frame construction. It became a separate brand in 1997. Through it all, the heart of Belgian spirit guides the decisions we make and the bikes we offer. The result is a bike brand recognized among pro-tour teams for bringing innovative solutions and unparalleled craftsmanship to the industry. Ridley & cycling: one family, one passion.
The Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix are two mythical races that make even the strongest riders hold their breath. Fierce weather conditions, terrible roads with grueling cobble sections and brutally steep climbs put enormous pressure on body and bike. Ridley, with its home at Flanders, set out to create a special edition bike that is set up to the task of these epic all day long rides. Frame and parts were designed to offer best-in-class durability and performance. It’s an all purpose road bike, like the original Fenix, in that it can be raced or commuted, ridden in fast group rides or all day adventure rides and has a Disc Calipers Option.
The Ridley Fenix SL frame with its oversized sharp edged tubing, guarantees a high level of stiffness and is extremely strong and durable. The flat sections in the seat stays absorb road vibrations to give the rider a high amount of comfort and increased stability on rough roads.
KEY FEATURES:
Unique Ridley fit utilizes a traditional geometry and taller headtube, so you need fewer spacers, creating a stiffer, more stable frame
30-24-ton high mod, uni-directional carbon fiber construction is stiff and lightweight
Distinctive diamond-shaped tubing makes the Fenix the strongest, toughest bike around
30T-24T HM Unidirectional Carbon Fork monoque full carbon fiber fork, oversized headtube and PF30 bottom bracket help stiffen up the bike for improved performance
