SRAM XG 1199 X-DOME™ Cassette

Ranging from 10- to 42-tooth, the 11-speed X-DOME™ delivers an incredibly wide gear range while maintaining even, optimized steps. The single-unit cassette combines with the XD™ Driver Body for a superior connection to the wheel. The Sram 11-Speed X-Dome cassette is the crown on the head of Sram's new XX1 drivetrain. Sram's X-Dome technology is applied to a solid chunk of chromoly steel, which intricately machines the metal into a one-piece (almost) cassette. Thus making the cassette light enough, and stiff enough for the most demanding pro racers. In order to fit eleven cogs in the space previously reserved for ten, Sram redesigned the freehub body connection, which also increases the stiffness and solidity of the cassette to hub interface. Sram calls it the XD Driver body, and it allows the use of a 10 tooth cog, increasing the top end of the XX1 drivetrain as well as the bottom end over a 10 speed system.
