The first climbing wheel ever developed in the wind tunnel the 2016 Zipp 202 V3 now has a toroidal profile 32mm aero tuned rim that is more aerodynamic efficient than the previous 202. Zipp has redesigned the shape increased the rim depth for additional aerodynamics added dimples increased the tire bed width added internal nipples while improving impact resistance by 28% through their Carbon Bridge™ technology. Owed to its near-levitation ability the 202 is built with unique Carbon Fiber Tubular Rims with a super-slim 32mm profile combining the best VCLC technology to Inversion Composite Technology.
The Zipp 202 has a Mid V light aero rigid carbon rim with silver CX-Ray spokes. The tubular version is all carbon and the clincher version is all carbon. The 18 hole front wheel is radial laced. The 24 hole rear wheel has radial lacing and a two cross spoke pattern on the drive side.
The 202 wheelset comes with Zipp's 88 / 188 hubset and external spoke nipples for easier service with no aero penalty. Cassette lockring is not included. Alloy Skewers are included. Black rims and grey-silver / black hubs. Zipp brake pads are recommended for tubulars. Rear Wheel PowerTap Option is available. New Campagnolo Shimano and Sram. 10 / 11 speed Cassette Body.
