They do have a sense of humor but at HED we're serious about fast wheels. The superb speed aerodynamics and cornering of the standard Stingers are improved with a weight saving FR package of Titanium skewers Titanium ratchet ring and carbon hub shells. HED applied their proprietary design formula to the new stinger 4 and the result is a superb super fast road wheel that was first across the line at the US Pro Championship road race. Excluding their Stinger 6 wheels there is not a faster wheel less than 80mm deep. Designed with C2 cornering performance and TT speed making it a favorite with HED. Made with a C2 tire well black bladed spokes and Sonic hubs. The skewer and a valve extender are included. Tubular only. Available with Power Tap PRO+ SL+ and SLC+ hubs. Stinger wheels are designed for 23mm tires. Aerodynamically this is the optimum width. Riders 180 - 210 lbs should run 24mm or larger tires. Minimum tire pressure for stingers is 120 psi max 135. The HED C2 tire well is most impact resistant with 23mm or larger tires. HED does not recommend narrower tires using a tire less than 23mm will void the warranty.
